In the midst of hardship, especially when those difficulties seem to endure for great lengths of time, it is important to remind ourselves of what the Lord has truly given us. When Christ was crucified, His disciples were thrown into disarray, but Jesus had taken time the night before to prepare them. They were not being left powerless and alone. Instead, God’s Kingdom (with all its resources) had been given to them. In the same way, Jesus has also given us the benefits of His Kingdom! He provides us with more than enough love, joy, peace, hope, wisdom, patience, and goodness to lead us through every worry and beyond each painful obstacle. We can trust and persevere knowing that ultimately the Lord reigns!
