Zechariah and Elizabeth had grown old and given up on their dream to have a child, but God had other plans. He sent an angel to tell Zechariah that they would indeed give birth to a son, John, who would announce the coming of the Messiah. The conditions and disappointments of the world are no match for the miracle-working presence and power of God. At all times, let’s look to Him and trust in His goodness and love. He is up to more than we know!
