The Lord offers each of us something that He never offered to the stars, the sunrise, the ocean, or the mountains. He never even offered it to His holy angels. As amazing as all his creation is, He reserves the best for us. He extends an invitation to be His friend.
His heart’s desire is to walk in close relationship with us. It’s the very reason He died. It cost Him everything to have all of us. Even so, He does not force Himself into our lives.
He both patiently and eagerly waits for our response. “Yes, Lord. I want to be your friend.”
