The disciples of Jesus were about to go into a very troubling time. Jesus would soon be arrested and devastatingly crucified. These events who go against everything the disciples thought should happen. They couldn’t see the bigger picture, only the difficulty as it unfolded around them. The Lord, on the other hand, always sees the end from the beginning. He is never caught unaware or unprepared. Nothing surprises Him or scares Him away. When we place our faith in Him, we can discover His strength and then face whatever comes with renewed hope. As we look to Christ and trust Him, we can know for ourselves that His goodness will ultimately prevail.
