Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. This is a time for all people to turn from vices, sins, and earthly distractions in order to better align with the heart and values of Christ. Throughout the Bible, people would demonstrate repentance by wearing ashes. Placed in the sign of the cross, they also can show our devotion to Jesus. Through Him, we turn from sin and die to our old ways. As we trust in Jesus, He raises us into new life. Let today be a new beginning for you!
