“So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” - 2 Corinthians 4:18 (New Living Translation)
Reflection
When the Apostle Paul wrote this second letter to the Church in Corinth, he was hard pressed on every side. Trouble surrounded him, persecution was real, and it seemed that he encountered one setback after another. In the midst of it all, however, he stayed focused on his calling and his mission, convinced that the eventual and certain victory to come would be more than worth it in the end. Hold fast to your God-given purpose. The Lord is with you!
