“With minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at His coming.” - 1 Peter 1:13

Reflection

The Apostle Peter wrote his first letter to Christians who had been scattered to various nations because of great persecution that had been brought against them. These people had faced numerous trials and difficulties and Peter wanted them to know that better days would come. While telling us to be sober minded and to recognize the seriousness of the times in which we live, Peter also reminds us to “set our hope” on the help, power, and grace that the Lord pours out to each of us.  At all times, let’s choose to focus on the goodness of God. He will see us through whatever we face!
