“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” - 1 John 4:4
John wrote in the first part of this chapter that there is a lot of falsehood in the world. Hopelessness, fear, anguish, and opposition abound. He refers to them as false spirits. None of these things, however, are greater than the Lord’s ability to overcome. For the one who trusts in Christ, the very presence of God comes to live on the inside of us, and He is greater than anything we might face. His grace is more than able. Trust Him today!
