“…David found strength in the Lord his God.” - 1 Samuel 30:6
David was greatly distressed because his hometown had been destroyed by fire, and his loved ones had been taken captive. Grief was so severe that people wept until they had no more strength to weep. People lashed out in bitterness with threats to kill David. In this perilous time, David did something that gave him hope in spite of sorrows. He turned to the Lord to be his help. In finding God, David found strength and the people recovered from their losses. Keep looking to the Lord when you are at the end of yourself. Fresh strength and hope can still be found in the Lord.
