“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." - John 10.11
Today marks the anniversary of D-Day when the Allied Forces landed on the shores of France, to repel the Nazi invasion. 5,000 ships and 11,000 aircraft were mobilized and by the end of the day 156,000 Allied troops had successfully stormed Normandy’s beaches. Victory came at great cost. 4,000 Allied troops died, including 2,000 American casualties. We honor those soldiers because of their cause and their sacrifice. They are reflections of Christ insomuch as they gave their all to push back the darkness of evil and bring freedom. Would you give your life for another? Christ did…for us!
