“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” - Psalm 27:14
The psalmist who wrote this also mentions earlier in the passage that he was under threat. His enemies were advancing. In fact, an entire army was coming to wipe him out. Yet, in the midst of it all, he was choosing to reach out and stay centered in the presence of the Lord. As long as he knew the Lord was with him, he knew he would come out strong on the other side of the conflict. The Lord is faithful and compassionate. To “wait” on Him is to hold fast to our trust and to continually fix our hope in Him. God has strength for you. Take courage! He is with you!
