The story of Ruth starts off in great tragedy and hardship. She and her mother-in-law, Naomi, had both become widows and were faced with serious doubts about their future. Naomi decided to go back to the people of God and to make her home there and Ruth vowed to stay with her and with God. Such moments serve to shape the rest of our lives. The decision to align ourselves with the Lord and His ways is this kind of moment. In Him we find clarity, purpose, and direction. Let’s pursue the Lord with the same determined heart!
