Friendship Village Senior Service’s Update and Response to COVID-19 as of Monday, January 4th, 2021
A Very Happy New Year, friends, residents, and families of Friendship Village!
We are so happy to be in 2021! The new year has been a long time coming.
By the Grace of God, the Villages are starting out on a fairly good note. As of today, the COVID-19 status on our campuses is as follows:
Chesterfield
- Skilled Nursing has 0 COVID+ residents.
- Assisted Living has 0 COVID+ residents.
- Independent Living has 0 COVID+ residents, though two are under quarantine for observation due to possible contact.
Sunset Hills
- Skilled Nursing has 3 COVID+ residents in isolation, all of whom were exposed from outside the facility. None of these are long term residents.
- Assisted Living has 0 COVID+ residents in house and one temporarily in the Care Center.
- Independent Living has 1 COVID+ resident in-house and two under quarantine for observation.
Both Villages remain under a No Visitor policy.
All are aware that many residents and staff of both Skilled Nursing Facilities received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine last week. We are very thankful for what our Lord has provided.
We now expect the second dose to be administered at the Sunset Hills facility on January 25th and the Chesterfield facility on January 26th. We are still working with Walgreens and the government to identify dates for all other residents on campus and to be in the queue as soon as possible.
Please pray with us that 2021 will be a year of relief and joy as we continue to fight this fight. Happy New Year!
