Dear Friends, Residents and Families of Friendship Village:
It’s another beautiful Spring day at Friendship Village today, Wednesday, April 8, 2020. Our Residents are able to get around our secure campuses to get some fresh air and some sun, all while maintaining their social distancing.
Our Village Care Centers (skilled nursing facilities) are doing outstanding work for our Residents in both clinical care and in quality-of-life social care. They are simply the best there is, and we appreciate all they are doing.
Our Assisted Living and Memory Care facility continues to provide world-class care to our Residents, keeping them engaged and active, and well-fed and happy. They miss visiting with their families, of course, so the staff is striving to fill that void as much as they can.
Our Independent Living Residents are still as lively and active as ever, even within the confines of their apartments or at safe social distances from others out in the open. Wonderful piano music from some of our retired virtuosos fills the common spaces with beautiful sounds in the mornings and life goes on! The curious ingenuity of some Residents with their personal mask designs are destined to become future displays in museums depicting the old COVID-19 days…when brighter days come.
Thank you all for your continued prayers as we do our best to fend-off the COVID-19 coronavirus. Everybody is engaged and everybody is doing well.
We gladly accept donations of face masks of both the clinical and/or hand-made washable cloth types. We will put them to immediate and good use. Just drop them off at the door!
As always, please continue to pray as we battle the coronavirus and maintain the safety and protection of our Residents and staff.
