Friendship Village Chesterfield was thrilled to be able to present The Leroy Amen Inaugural Award to the family of Leroy Amen Friday at a luncheon at The Bishop’s Post restaurant in Chesterfield.
The Amen family made a $300,000 donation which launched the fundraising campaign for the new $1.4 million chapel at Friendship Village Chesterfield.
“The chapel will be a centerpiece for making a long-term legacy statement at Friendship Village Chesterfield and your family’s stewardship of that legacy is very much appreciated,” said Friendship Village Chesterfield Executive Director Mike Hambley.
Leroy Amen and his two sons Charlie Amen and Clifford Amen were on hand as the plaque was presented and dedicated to Leroy’s late wife Virginia “Ginny” Leibner-Amen, PhD.
