2.All Aboard
Each year, our railroaders club sets up a Christmas train display in the Clubhouse lobby. The festive Christmas town scene is always a huge hit with the grandkids. Enjoy quality time together as the train makes its way round and round the track.
3.Walking in a Winter Wonderland
Go on a Christmas scavenger hunt with your grandkids all through our campus. Build a list together with all the best holiday things such as Christmas trees, nutcrackers, candy canes, and snow globes. Then, walk the grounds of Friendship Village for a fun Christmas adventure with your family.
4.Read Classic Christmas Tales
The colder weather makes it a great time to stay in and read holiday stories with your grandkids. Between the fully stocked shelves at our on-campus libraries and weekly visits from the Saint Louis County Library Bookmobile, it’s easy to find fun books for their next visit! Our Library is the perfect cozy setting to gather and read enchanting tales. The joy on your grandchildren’s faces as they listen will create lifelong memories for both of you.
5.Bake Cookies for Santa
Christmas isn’t complete without some sweet treats. Break out the family recipes and aprons, for a fun activity to share with your grandkids. If you’re feeling extra ambitious, build and decorate a gingerbread village!
