Jesus demonstrated love with every fiber of His being. During the night of His last supper with His disciples, He had stooped down to wash their feet. He knew He would be tormented and crucified in the morning. Yet, He was making sure that His disciples know how much He loved them and how He wanted them to love others, no matter what else happened. He calls us to love…as He loves us. How does He love us? Sacrificially, with all His heart, soul, and strength. His disciples all deserted Him that night…yet He was determined to give His life to redeem both them…and all of humanity. Love makes the difference. May we understand and receive the fullness of the love of God, and may we give that love away to all those around.
