Sometimes, with age and experience, there can be a temptation to become cynical and pessimistic about life. If we experience regular disappointments and heartaches, we can be prone to despair. However, if we will hold on to the promises of God’s Word, we can instead discover and embrace real, life-long vigor and joy. Youth is a state of mind, one that we can chose with God’s help. As we do, hope springs up eternal in our hearts. A better day will come; it is the promise of God!
