When writing this Psalm, King David celebrated the Lord’s goodness despite the fact that the immediate situation around him was very hard. He knew that the only way forward was to trust in the Lord and to continually rely on Him for strength and direction. The Lord is ever merciful and loving. In the midst of our own difficult times, we can turn to Him and then face the days to come with assurance and hope. God is good…all the time!
